On the weekend, my husband and I met up with some close friends from South Africa. We enjoyed a day in the Niagara Area. We visited Hillebrand Winery for an Icewine tour. The snow started to fall in the most magical way! We samples 3 icewines and wow!!! They are 19 or 20 on the sweetness scale and can only be harvested @ a tempertaure of -8 or -9 degrees. Icewine’s taste is unique because when the grapes are pressed, it is the ice crystals that creates the flavour due to the freezing of the grapes.
